fleece, but there will be excess fabric.)
Bella Kitty (with realistic green eyes) is a sweet little tabby from my Wild Wild Christmas collection.------------------------------------- This is a very easy cut and sew doll. First assemble the limbs by placing right sides together as indicated by arrows. Sew 1/4 inch seam, leaving ends open to turn right sides out. Stuff with fiberfill...not too full. Limbs are better when not stiff. Ears only need a teeny bit of stuffing. The tail may be shortened if preferred. I also slipped stitched along one side of the tail, pulling the stitching tight so the tail curves. (Maybe next time I will draw a curved tail?) Top stitch the tail to the back of kitty...where cat tails usually go. Place body right sides together, inserting ears and arms in appropriate places. Sew about 1/4 inch seam...leaving opening at bottom. Turn right side out and stuff. Insert legs and topstitch across the bottom. Repeat this process for the little bird. Bella likes to hold the bird, so maybe stitch her paws together or add magnets inside the paws.----------------------------------------- I haven't tried it yet, but I think maybe one can achieve a more raggedy doll look by putting wrong sides together and stitching on top with seams visible. Trim the seams so they are all the same and then let them fray. If anyone tries it, let me know if that works out. I'm too neat! ---------An instructional blog with pictures coming soon. ----------------I'll be adding a fleece scarf to this doll. Debby XO
