This is a modernized take on the traditional and historical pattern type called the Millefleur style - common during Medieval times and then again during the Arts & Crafts period. I based this pattern on the poem, "The Lady of Shalott," by Alfred Lord Tennyson. There is a part of the poem that describes where the Lady of Shalott lives and how four of the towers on the isle "overlook a space of flowers..."
