Step 2. Pin front of beetle to back of beetle w/ right sides together. Step 3. Stitch around edge with your desired seam allowance(approximately 1/4"), leaving an approximate 1" to 2" opening on long side of beetle for turning & filling. ////Step 4. Turn sewn bean bag cover right side out, finger press or lightly press with iron(according to fabric chosen). Tip: Before pressing check bean bag cover for a nice oval shape to be sure that it has been completely turned.//// Step 5. Fill with your choice of filling * to desired consistency. Then stitch opening closed, by hand or machine. Your little bean buggle is ready to go! //// One fat quarter makes 6 bean bags, 3 with pink belly & 3 with green belly. Green team vs. pink team. A whole yard of fabric will make 2 sets of 12. 12 green/12 pink.~ if your using lightweight Cotton Twill it will make 2 sets of 15 or 3 sets of five. (If your making them to sell or to gift, sets of five seem like a good number of bags~~~~~~~~ recommendation: Use Kona Cotton over basic cotton for durability. For even more durable bean bags use a thicker & stronger fabric like Lightweight Cotton Twill.~~~~~~~ Suggestions: sew with a smaller stitch for a tight seam. Double stitch seam for durability, especially if using as a traditional bean bag.
