Mandevilla flowers have scents reminiscent of gardenias. I (Nancy Lee) created the pattern in August 2020 from my photo of Mary's garden in my small town. Wikipedia: Mandevilla species are native to the Southwestern United States, Mexico, Central America, the West Indies, and South America (especially Brazil).
