About the Design

Yellow-rumped warblers, aka "butter butts" for the yellow spot above their tails, are called reinita

coronada in Spanish - little crowned queen.

A painterly-textured design of a folk-inspired tree with three birds in crowns having a secret meeting, on a wintry starry blue background. I'm lucky to live in Northern California along the Pacific Flyway, where all kinds of birds travel during their fall and spring migrations, and some interesting ones over-winter in my backyard. I can't resist a bird with a kooky name! Yellow-rumped warblers like to eat waxy berries like juniper, myrtle and even poison oak and poison ivy. Please note: This design fits on a fat quarter of the 54" wide fabrics, like Linen Cotton Canvas. It is not a continuous repeat.
