Since 2004 I have volunteered with a local dance studio. I take classes, substitute teach when needed, and take care of the dressing-room organization during recitals. I love every part of it. Miss Carolyn, the instructor, especially enjoys modern dance. The young women in this design have attended the studio since preschool. I'm thankful to Jim Shorney, who took photos of the dancers during a dress rehearsal and gave me permission to use his photos. I used a magnetic-lasso to lift some dancers from his photos, then added paintery effects and brush strokes to the dancers on Photoshop. I used one of my art backgrounds, added two spotlights, and added a hand-painted butterfly to show how the girls seem to take flight during leaps. On stage! Designs by Nancy Lee Moran are available for licensing. Some designs are also available in other scales or colors on request. I hope you will show me the projects you create with my fabrics.
