Funny thing about this pattern is that originally I just wanted to submit a check for the EAST FORK design challenge but it was too simple. I regret not doing that now. Then I made so many great patterns while attempting to make a winner for the East Fork linen challenge that I improved my shop 10 fold but they were too colorful to fit the design rules of the contest. So at the last minute I made a terrible design and put it in the contest. I came in the bottom 50 designers out of over 2050 entries. I can Laugh at myself! (While I bitch behind the scene. (WHEN WILL I GET TO THE TOP 50?????? So here was a1 of many designs that got too colorful for that challenge. But I really like it and it fits the bill of "PARTY LINEN" so here it comes for this week's challenge. HMMMM, will I make it to the top 1/2 of entrants this week? Apparently, checks are very in too! Only time will tell. Anyway, about this design: I love Vincent Van Gogh and reworked some of his paintings to create a unique and new yet Van Gogh inspired style of art. The cake is not in van Gogh style but just a fabulous layer cake topped in blueberries, kiwis, strawberries and bananas. Creamy whip cream frosting and moist yellow cake. The image of tea, coffee and fruit and of course a vase of freshly picked local, natural flowers. This is all placed upon a picnic cloth like checkered pattern to evoke the sense of a sunny day with our best person or people. I hope you enjoy this linen with family and friends and that your guests and you all love the Van Gogh like artwork on the linen during your time hanging together over the Four F's.
