It is a New Zealand Alpine Parrot that has a cheeky nature and has a reputation for stealing items from backpacks and even pulling the rubber off the windscreen of cars in car parks! This was my favourite bird growing up, and we would frequently see them on our family adventures into the mountains. Destination New Zealand is a collection of designs that draws inspiration from New Zealand’s wildlife, reflecting colours found in the fauna and landscape from the earthy greens in the native forests, the silvers and greys of the mountain-tops and the bright colours of our native flowers and fauna. As a proud kiwi, who loves this wildlife, I felt compelled to show the beauty of this country to the world!
