About the Design

The foxiest of all costumes! Please read details below image.

This pattern is designed to be made from knit fabric. One yard of knit will make a fox hood (aviator style cap) with ears and a belt with tail (you will also need fusible interfacing, stuffing for the tail, and some kind of closure for the belt, such as Velcro or a buckle). A fat quarter will give you the necessary pieces for just the hood, but you will need to provide your own lining fabric when not ordering the full yard. Hood is one-size-fits-most and was designed for a M/L adult head (mine - pictured - is 22.5"). This project is recommended for Intermediate-Advanced sewers (especially when using the slippery Performance Knit). Faux Suede may also be used for a furrier costume, however, since it will not stretch, the hood will only fit Small or child-size heads. When using faux suede, there is no need to use interfacing to reinforce pieces.
