About the Design

My Grandmother's property was 580 acres of trees in the southern part of Missouri In a very sparsely populated area that backed up to the Mark Twain National Forest. The place was full of snakes. Granny left the snakes in the woods alone but if she found them after her baby chicks they were good as dead. Even the scary ass rattlers and copperheads were no match for my granny. She never killed a snake that wasn't violating her space but I know of many times she had to take one out. I had to help her once. yikes. It was a big king snake, normally a snake that you don't want to kill as they keep the rodent population down but this dumb snake had eaten something then stuck his head through the chicken wire and ate a baby chick and was caught in the fence between the two lumps of undigested dinner and the other chicks and chickens were freaking out. When she killed one she did skin it and cure the skins. A 7 foot rattler skin was worth a lot of money and she did sell them but never hunted them for money. They had to cross her to end up stretched out on a board. She respected all of nature and for the most part nature respected her.
