Every 2.7 years there is an extra moon. And this occurs because a full moon shows up every 29.5 days, which does not match up with the number of days in our calendar month. This extra moon is not actually blue. But...wouldn't it be cool if it was?! . This design began with a range of rich blues and aquas and some added texture.
