A mother octopus literally gives her life for her babies. She weaves her eggs into strands that she hangs from an ocean cave. Then she stays with them, constantly moving her tentacles to keep the water fresh around her eggs. She does not even leave to eat. When the eggs finally hatch, she is very weak and usually dies. Though there are several sizes, if you need it in another size, just ask. This novelty print is targeted to young children. It is useful for home decor items such as a throw pillow or blanket.
