What's more adorable than a bunch of rolly polly manatees? A bunch of rolly polly manatees having a tea party, that's what! These adorbs sea cows were created for Spoonflower's endangered species contest. Manatees were on the endangered species list from 1972-2016, and are now on the threatened species list. These gentle herbivores need all the help they can get at keeping their population up though. Due to loss of habitat and accidents with boats, without a significant amount of protection the manatee would quickly sink back into endangered status. With that in mind, the ESA has not reduced any of the protection on manatees since removing them from the endangered list. So go manatees, drink your tea and frolic in the ocean - you are still protected and there are lots of awesome organizations out there trying to help you and preserve your species!
