Several years ago, my personal art project was to engrave all 78 Tarot cards on Speedy-Cut printing blocks, so that I could have a hand-made, hand-printed set. Unfortunately, that project was never completed. Luckily, though, I got all the trumps done -- so now I've printed those, scanned them, colored them, and laid them out in this design. The images I designed for the cards stay (more or less) true to the iconography of the classic French woodcut decks. You may notice that some of the colors are "out of registration," or leave gaps in certain areas -- this is intentional, to imitate the charming effect of authentic (i.e. badly printed) woodcut decks from the 15th and 16th centuries. Each card measures just over 2" tall; see my "Tarot, large scale" design for a larger, more detailed print.
